Why We Built EventJar
It started with watching a friend try to coordinate support for a sick colleague — across six different apps, while already exhausted and overwhelmed. A GoFundMe for medical bills. A Meal Train for dinners. A Google Sheet for hospital visits. A group text for updates. The person who needed the most help ended up managing the most logistics.
We asked a simple question: what if there was one link that handled everything? One place where people could send money, sign up for tasks, leave messages, and just show up — without downloading anything, creating an account, or coordinating with anyone else?
That question became EventJar. Today we serve personal milestones, community causes, and workplace support. Tomorrow we're expanding into enterprise giving, recurring support, and deeper community governance — always guided by the same principle: make showing up effortless.
