Fundraising

    Rally real support
    for someone.

When a person you love is going through a hard season, gather money, gifts, help, and messages the way people actually want to show up — all on one link.

A person handing a home-cooked meal to a neighbor going through a hard season
One link, everyone in one place

    Everything on one page

Not a money page over here and a meal train over there. One link holds all the ways people want to help — so nothing and no one gets lost.

    Money

Contributions flow to one shared goal, tracked on a live thermometer.

    Gifts

People who prefer to send a gift instead of cash can do that from the same page.

    Help

Rides, meals, errands — supporters can offer a hand, not just a dollar.

    Messages

Notes of encouragement land in one place, so nothing gets lost across texts and threads.

    A hard season

A medical diagnosis, a lost job, a stretch that caught someone off guard. Gather real support quickly, in one place, without anyone having to ask twice.

A quiet gathering of people remembering someone together

    A memorial

A dignified way to honor a life and take the weight off a grieving family — everyone who cared, gathered on one page, in their own words and their own way.

A community coming together to support one of their own

    A community need

A neighbor, a classroom, a family down the street. When a group rallies, a live thermometer and a wall of everyone who showed up turn goodwill into real momentum.

    Tools that build momentum

Optional, configurable, and free to switch on. Turn on the pieces that fit the moment.

    Donors choose their level

Set named tiers — a gift of $25, $50, $100, or their own amount. Donors pick the level they want to show up at; it is self-selected, not assigned.

    Milestones that feel real

Name what each step unlocks so support has meaning — “first week covered,” “bills handled.” People rally harder when they can see what they make possible.

    A live thermometer

Every contribution moves one shared goal in real time, so the page always shows exactly where things stand.

    A donor wall

An optional wall celebrates everyone who showed up — a living record of a community coming together.

    Honest answers

What does EventJar cost to raise money?

There is no monthly fee to raise money on the Free plan. When a contribution comes in, EventJar keeps a flat 2.5% platform fee, and standard Stripe card processing (2.9% + $0.30) is passed straight through. On a $50 gift, the donor pays $51.75 and the host receives $48.75. That is the whole picture — nothing hidden.

    Is EventJar cheaper than GoFundMe?

Honestly, no — and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. GoFundMe charges a 0% platform fee on standard fundraisers; EventJar charges a flat 2.5%. Where we are different is that everything — money, gifts, offers of help, and messages — lives on one link, we show every fee upfront, and we never prompt your donors to add a tip on top.

Will my donors get nagged for a tip?

No. EventJar never asks your donors to add a tip on top of their gift. What they choose to give is what they give.

    How do donor tiers work?

You can set named levels — for example a $25, $50, or $100 gift, plus a custom amount. Donors choose the level they want to show up at themselves. It is self-selected, not calculated from what they give.

Do I have to use tiers, milestones, and the wall?

No. Fundraising Mode features are optional and configurable. Turn on tiers, milestones, the live thermometer, and the donor wall in any combination that fits the moment — or run a simple pooled goal with none of them.

When does the money reach the person it is for?

Contributions flow to one shared goal and are paid out to the host through Stripe. You decide who receives the funds when you set up the Jar.
